It is a source of pride for me to address you as the Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of Türkiye to the Republic of Rwanda.

Relations between the two countries, based on mutual trust, friendship and cooperation, have been rapidly developing in the recent years. The progress made at the bilateral level covers all areas, including economy, trade, defense, security and cultural cooperation. In that vein, the most recent agreements signed during the visit of H.E Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs to Kigali on 12 January 2023, reaffirmed the excellent level of our relations.

Likewise, the visits by H.E. Vincent Biruta, Rwandan Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to Türkiye in 2021 and 2022, within the framework of bilateral consultations, as well as for the 3rd Türkiye-Africa Partnership Summit and the Antalya Diplomacy Forum also constituted concrete steps towards laying the ground for further promotion of Turkish-Rwandan relations on the basis of mutual interests.

I look forward to devoting my efforts to uphold and further strengthen the strong cooperation between Türkiye and Rwanda in all spheres.

The presence of Turkish citizens residing in Rwanda constitutes another important element of duty and responsibility. In that regard, I will be pleased to meet and come together on appropriate occasions with all individuals who build a human bridge between the two countries, and to learn their valuable views.
